Join us Thanksgiving weekend as we welcome Matt Tavares, beloved Ogunquit author and illustrator, for a special holiday event celebrating his brand-new picture book Dasher and the Polar Bear!  In this all-new Christmas tale, Dasher the reindeer discovers that the only thing better than making Christmas magic is making a new friend to share it with.

1:00 PM – Live Drawing Demo: Watch Matt bring Dasher and the Polar Bear to life right before your eyes during a live illustration demo.
1:30–3:00 PM – Book Signing: Meet Matt and have your books signed! Along with his newest release, he’ll be signing his other classics—Dasher, Dasher Can’t Wait for Christmas, Red and Lulu, ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, and his every-day favorites Zachary’s Ball and Hoops.

Matt Tavares is known for his beautifully illustrated and heartwarming picture books that capture the magic of storytelling through art. His work has earned numerous honors, including Parents’ Choice Awards and recognition from The New York Times and The Boston Globe. Beyond being a celebrated children’s book creator, Matt is also a proud member of the Ogunquit community who draws inspiration from the New England coast.
